What are some fun activities to do with preschool age kids in Southern Vermont area?

We are a preschool program in Bennington , Vermont and can only travel 45 minutes away. The federal regulations state we cant have the kids on a bus more than 45 minutes each way. It makes it difficult but we want to do something new.........

Not sure if Bellows Falls is 45 mins or less but there's a cool fish ladder there.  I think the Grafton Cheese Co. has tours, too.

is there a park?

play leader outside of school

go in the woods behind school as a hike

take them to a local high school

take each others pictures and make a scrape book

have a picnic in the playground

take them to the mall

movies

do you still have snow? maybe take them to a fun sleding hill. i live in the green mountin vally (also in vermont) and we dont have enought sledding snow so it wouldnt work here. you could find out if there is a local suggaring place to take the kids. that would be fun.
