What are some fun bars that aren't too expensive and you can sit and relax at in NYC?

I am meeting up with an old friend, we are 23 and 26 respectively, she wants to go somewhere nice, clean, good music, she likes house/techno, good atmosphere, not a huge price tag, she lives upper west side in the mid 70s so that area.

You should try Tonic Bar there is one at 49th St and 7th Ave.  There is great food at low prices and great atmosphere and pretty neat.
