There is Auerbach's Keller. I won't mean much to you if you don't know Goethe's Faust, but it is a popular tourist attraction. It is one of the oldest continously operating restaurants in Germany. Not a party spot, but not to be missed either.

Also Leipzig is a student town. Just ask anybody looking to be of the right age to be a student and you'll get plenty of tips.
