What are some fun school lunches?

I would like to get something a little different than the normal pb&j or just cold cuts. I would really like to change it up so i don't get sick of sandwhiches lol.

I really don't want to buy school lunch either because I don't get a lunch this year.

Pasta salad - pasta shapes, tuna and mayo. You can make a large batch it will keep in the fridge for a couple of days.

Soup - take it to school in a flask.

Pitta breads - take a small tub of salad and meat / cheese to school and make the sandwiches at school so the bread doesn't go soggy.

Spend a little time to make up a large vegetable platter, put what you want for that day ino a smaller container for yourself to nosh when you can. Tiny containers for whatever dip you you like if any. Same can be done with a fruit and cheese plate. Just be sure to squeeze a lime onto the fruit and keep it separated from the cheese til you eat them. or you an always do the old Yogurt and banana thing with a handful of granola cerial to sprinkle on yogurt.

try making a wrap instead of a sandwich! wraps hold odd shaped foods better so you could have a salad wrap with fresh veggies.

bring soup in a thermos. its really nice to have ot soup during the winter.

pita bread and hummas or tabouli (sorry about the spelling there) is a good lunch. and its easy to snack on, so if your not that hungry, you can just pick and you wont feel obligated to eat and entire sanwich.

bring left overs too! leftovers make really good lunches. likecold pizza and pasta :) yummy!

cheese and crackers (and pepperoni) is also a great snack that can make a good lunch. try changing it up a little. bring slices of ham instead of peperoni to make mini ham and cheese snacks.

I like to make some minute rice the night before becuase it takes 5 minutes. then i throw in vieggies like peas and carrots and corn, and mix it all together. put it in some tupperwear and brign it wea ever you want. it tastes great cold.

try making pasta salad, or making a garden salad and topping it with leftover chicken or fish or whatever you want.

the possibilities are endless. just get creative with it!
