  1. Caracas is a beautiful city.  The girl above me (Alej) seems to know what she's talking about.  She's absolutely right.  Make sure that you make most expeditions during the day cuz it can get pretty scarey at night.  Besides what Alej already told you about there are also a lot of beautiful beaches a short trip away (20-30 minutes from Caracas) in La Guaira and Maiquetia (by the airport).  Make sure not to carry a lot of cash and don't wear tons of jewelry.  Just keep your eyes and ears open and you'll have fun.

  3. Right now the is an ice skating ring at the ccct mall.

If you like the outdoors then you can go to Avila Mágica and ride the "telesférico" to the top of the Avila mountain or you can just go up hiking. You can go to the Parque del Este that was designed by the Burle-Max. Nearby is La Estancia that has art exhibitions.

The UCV Universidad Central de Venezuela was declared "patrimonio cultural de la humanidad" by the UNESCO it was designed by Carlos Raul Villanueva.

Most people in Caracas go to malls because they are more secure than other places.

You can go to the Hatillo which is like a colonial town.

If you are looking for night clubs and restaurants then Las Mercedes is the place to go. The San Ignacio mall is popular because of it's night clubs and restaurants.

If you have guts then go can go downtown where there are many museums. There's the plaza de los museos and the Ateneo is nearby. Here you'll find the Galería de Arte Nacional, el Museo de Bellas Artes.

La plaza Bolívar is where the city began. There you can find the Catedral de Caracas and the museo Sacro. I think they were fixing the Teatro Municipal. The house were Simón Bolívar was born is nearby. Please go during the day.
