I am looking for ways to make my wedding more fun. Currently, it just feels like an expensive party that I can only hope others will enjoy. I would like to do something unique to make this special day more fun both for me and for my guests.

  3. there are some fun games like blindfloding the groom and sitting a bunch of guests and the bride in front of him. he has to figure out who is the bride by feeling the faces. lol.  There is one version of this game that takes it to the point that when he finds his bride he has to kiss her (which is very amusing if it isn't actually the bride). lol. It can just be a kiss on the cheek.

Um you could get these giant dice and have people toss them when they want you to kiss (instead of clinking glasses) For example: if anyone rolls a 6 you guys kiss, if anyone rolls any other number they have to go kiss someone...from another table. lol

OR my aunt had it where if you want them to kiss your whole table has to stand up and sing a song with the word "love" in it.  That was hilarious.

Most places appreciate these games...it saves them broken glasses and it will save your lips as you won't have to kiss ever 2 seconds.  People are a little stand-offish of these games at first, but once the ball gets rolling it's so much fun.

    Good luck! congrats!

  4. well... i don't know how crazy your imagination is but i just went to a wedding that had a Wii station, DDR station, small casino station, a candy bar, and a photo booth...

at a pro football player's wedding i attended, the groom's mom was deceased so theyhonored her by collecting 10 of her best recipes and each recipe had some significance behind it... so as he explained each recipe's history, that food item was bought out... the bride passed out embellished receipe boxes that had the recipes in them.. it was a really nice way of honoring the groom's mother and sharing a piece of the couple with their attendees...

lol... you just have to used your imagination... as far as keeping it classy and elegant, i would suggest a choreographed dance number, a slideshow of your relationship, karaoke?

i dunno... it's your night so you should want everything to be centered around you... hope this helped!

  5. My wedding was in June and one fun thing we did was setting up a photo booth as our guest book.  The pictures were priceless and as the night went on they got funnier.  We made a backdrop, setup a digital camera on a tripod, and purchased a dry erase board.  People wrote messages like it was a guest book.  Our guests thought is was so much fun!  Good luck.

  6. play elephant polo

  7. You don't even need to drink !  I have seen a lot of weddings without alcohol...our son's weddings never had it and we had 250 and more at each one and the weddings went on until midnight...

You can have a good time without it....it is when you NEED it that you have problems.

As for fun...we did a practical joke on my brother.  We went to a locksmith and got a lot of keys that weren't usable.  He gave them to us.

We handed them out to girls and told them to hold them and not show them to anyone. ...and when we asked for them...come forward.

So at the best man speech..the best man said...Well now that Mike is married I am sure he wants his apartment key back...can that girl bring it forward.  When about 40 of them started up showing their keys..I thought the look Loretta gave Mike was priceless!  hahahahahaa
