What are some fun things to do when babysitting?

i am babysitting tonight, for a 6 year old, he is a boy and can get really wild. i always bring stuff to do, like crafts and stuff, but now i have ran out of ideas. do you know any ideas of what to do thatsdifferent than the average, bring a book, or watch a movie, i want something that is more fun.

Teach him a simple game like Red Light, Green Light; Jacks, Marbles, card games (War Go Fish Crazy 8's etc.), play pictionary with him using simple objects, make tiedye shirts, get a little messy in the kitchen and make home-made gak, play with clay, try those craft kits with the circular beads you place on a shaped tray and bake to melt them into magnets and other nifty things, hide and seek is always a fun one, teach him Monopoly and let him cheat (it's a lot of fun playing the wrong way anyway), kick around a soccer ball outside, teach him how to make something for father's day.

i always kept a big bag the kids i babysat called the miracle big, in it i had puzzles, stickers, colored paper, gel pens, stampers, a whistle (very handy), and of course a bottle of monster killer.  You can do everything and anything with these items.  The whistle is for silly games, tell the child to use his imagination for a few minutes and that you'll blow the whistle when time is up, then change it to another game.  you'll find it moves the time quickly.  Monster Killer is a spray bottle decorated by you with stickers and markers, filled with water.  At bedtime if the child if frightened of Monsters etc... spray the room, closet and under the bed. And voila the monsters are gone.  It works wonderfully and helps children with fears.  Have fun.
