What are some fun things to do with horse?

i have a hunter/jumper and i will be out at the barn all day tomorrow and well cant just jump all day long. so the highst i am going is 2 feet for tomorrow. what is someting fun to do in the saddle, bareback, or on the ground?

give him a bath, groom him, etc.

maybe jump on bareback and go for a trailride. sit on him while he grazes and just relax!

or maybe google dressage tests or excercies and do some fun patterns while you're hacking.

Free Jump! Build a jumpin chute and ask him to go over tiny cross rails or poles. Free jumping is a blast. Its fun, it relaxes a horse, and its quite simple.  

Or, you can lunge,

or take him on a trail ride bareback

put on a halter and take him for a walk through the woods

*my horse loves this, she even asks me to trot and when I do , she kees my pace. She is really cute)

Take him to graze on a lead

groom and bathe him

muck his stall

put on the saddle and bridle and go for a light hack

why not working on your flat riding... you can work  a little dressage into your routine for something different... work on collecting him at the walk, trot and canter, side passing .

what about a trail ride with friends? washing and cleaning all your tack? Giving your  horse a wonderful bath and massage? It will be hot here tomorrow thats what I plan on doing... will ride later in the evening .

why dont you build a closer bond with your horse by grooming him, bathing him, braiding his mane/tail? it'll also make him feel and look better.

Horses love a thorough grooming. Work at getting all the dry skin rubbed out. Clean his tail and mane.

Find his favourite scratching spot.

Play some games, picking things up of barrels, jackets, cups. Fill a cup with water, can you walk, trot without spilling it, how about jumping with it!

Learn to mount bare back. Find a fun way to dismount. Ride bare back. Find a friend to double bare back.

Take your horse out to grass and watch while he eats - its fascinating.

Wash and dry your horse, pull his mane and tail.

Give him lots of hugs..... have a lovely day together :)

Why not go just riding? then you can make your horse stronger. Teach it some dressage (dancing) I hear it's fun.

I love riding horses. it is one of my favorite hobbies. I just love riding them. It is a blast to do.

try crossing you're rains and see if you can ride normally this is really fun and a bit of a challenge but it really improves you're riding.
