What are some fun things you've done this summer?

What are some fun things you and your family have done this summer? Have you visited any places you would definitely recommend ? Anyone find something to do without having to spend a lot of money on gas for traveling? What are some great ways your family had without spending a lot? What trips were worth spending money on?

Where we live there are a lot of small carnivals, usually sponsored by the fire dept. to raise money. My son is small, so he likes the little rides.

I've also gone to my state's website to find state parks and beaches. We've gone hiking a few times, or just hung out at the lakes or beaches.

Another thing in our area is free concerts by local bands. My town has one every Wed.

Search your town and local town websites for ideas. Also check the local newspapers.

Minor league baseball is also fun.

We are going to Oklahoma. But that is really close to where we live.

Gone to elitchs and going to go to missouri and get our medicures and pedicures and stuff!!! its going to be fun!!!  : )
