What are some fun useful crafts for young adults?

i'm 20 and i want some crafts that will decorate my apartment so i need age appropriate stuff.

Collage and mosaic are fun and can be very decorative.  Plenty of instruction available online.  Container gardening is another which I enjoy especially using several different plants in one pot.
