What are some fun water games to play at a childs birthday party?

stand on opposing sides from your partner and get a waterballoon filled up and throw back to your partner. Once accomplished take a step back. Throw again..more than likely its going to burst! Or have a race to see how many balloons they can transport from one side of the yard to the other at one time.

Dodge balloons: line 2 teams facing each other and place coolers in between them. (like dodge ball) Count to 3 and let them have at it!

Line the kiddos in a circle. Use 2 water balloons and let them pass it and toss it to each other like a hot potato.

Musical sprinkler: Hook up a sprinkler, but don't turn it on yet. Tell kiddos to move around the sprinkler area, dancing, hopping, or striking funny poses. When the sprinkler is turned on, kids must freeze in position without moving until the sprinkler is turned off again.

Get 4 buckets, 2 full of water and the other 2 empty. You will need more for more teams. On one side of the yard put the full buckets and the other side empty. Gather teams and give them a cup. Each person much run and grab a cup of water and put it in the empty bucket. First team to fill it wins!!

Ice cube melt: Divide players into two teams and line them up. The first player on each is given an ice cube. The child must rub the ice cube between his hands for as long as possible to try to make it melt. When he or she gets too cold, the ice cube is passed to the next child in line. The first team to melt the ice cube wins.

water ballon battel, water gun battels, the game where everyone gets a partner and each team gets a water balloon that they need to pass between each other and not pop the ballon if your teams balloon pops you elimated until only one team is left and they are the winners. Another fun game with water balloons is you make two teams one on each side of a volley ball net each has a sheet you use one water balloon and the whole team holds up one side of the sheet and you try to bounce the water balloon to the other side of the court where that team must catch it in there sheet and then return it.. it's like volley ball but with a sheet and team work. If the balloon breaks on the oposit teams side that team recieves a point. Slip n slides are alway fun.
