I have volunteered to come up with fundraisers that will not only raise a good amount of money for our marching band, but that will also make us better known in the community, and even help us get some more support than what we currently have.

  1. well our band sells to fruit.

and you can sell it to like, insurance companies and stuff like that, which would get you better known.

we also host our own competition, and we sell ads for that, so every company that buys a place inside our program, knows about us.

uhm, you can try selling little signs to support you guys. you knows the kinds of signs people use when theyre running for school board or somethin?

    just an idea.

    hope this helps. [:

  2. You could host a battle of the bands and get other high schools to come to your stadium and play in an alday music feast hosted by your band.  All you would have to do would be ask permision to use the stadium invite other schools to perform have people buy admision tickets to hear the music sell food and set up some carnival games.  So I gues it's kind of like a high school music festival.  Oh don't forget to advertize.  You can post it in the newspaper, write to the local newstation and ask them to mention it, post signs, and post it on the school website, etc.  Hope this helps.

  3. Give away $100 free gas certificates for donations of say, $15 or more.  Your team will clear at least $5 per donation.

My neighbor did it for his soccer team and made close to $5000!.  It's something that everyone seems to need now, and are willing to give to a good cause, too.

  4. The company I work with has some options that might help your band if you would like. Our products give you 30 days in most cases before payment is due to get the sales rolling, and we don't charge for shipping unless you need to rush the order. We have scratch & help cards, spinners, cookie dough, and more! One of our best options is a web based promo fundraiser page that doesn't cost you anything at all (ever) to set up and use. Email me back at ds_music_now@yahoo.com if you'd like a brochure! Good luck!
