'Connect 4' is another old game but a goodie that you don't need English to play. I am not sure if it has already been mentioned but 'Trouble' is also good fun.

Most of the best games these days are actually coming from Europe, in particular Germany, and are not originally published in English.  Many of these also have components that are language independent, which means that one player will need to be able to read the language the rules are published in, but the others will be able to play without knowing the language.  Some good ones that have English-language editions:
