The kids i babysit for are ages three, eight, and eleven. I wish i could come up with something they would all like todo, the oldest one is pretty much up for anything but the oldest girl and youngest boy dont always agree.

  1. try riding bikes & going to the park

  2. Tag, Freeze Tag, Hide-n-Seek, Red light Green light, get some chalk and play hop scotch...

  3. I bought some cheap punch-balls and the kids just LOVE them! My kids have about the same age-range and they like to go in all different directions when playing, too! But, since you're babysitting, you should try to keep them occupied in at least the same general area. But, they all CAN do different activities. Fill plastic boxes: 1 with side-walk chalk and maybe some things to trace (or a roll of tape), 1 with bubbles and cool bubble wands, 1 with bug-hunting stuff (cheap kits can be purchased or you can build your own with clear containers, a mini-net, and some zip loc bags).

Have each kid choose a box for your outside play period. You can help the 3 year old while the older two do their own thing under your observation. If you only allow them to play with the kits during outside play time, they will come to appreciate them, more.

Also...water balloons are always a hit! The youngest boy may just like dropping them on your feet while the older two battle it out!

  4. You might try sidewalk chalk, bubbles, water baloons, water guns, a scavenger hunt (you might have to help the little one), try setting up an obstacle course for them to run through or ride a bike or tricycle through, try some simple but fun and messy science experiments (there are lots you can find on the internet with regular household items), water painting (water and paintbrushes on any hard surface).  You can also try having a picnic outside or taking a blanket out and reading to them out loud.  They will all enjoy it with the right book.  Age range is pretty varied so you could put two of them to play with something while you and one of them reads laying on a blanket under a tree where you can watch the other two.

Also, you might try asking them for suggestions.  Have fun :)

  5. hop skotch

    buy some bubbles

    and chalk?

    arts and craftss

    dig for ants.

    or worrms

    swim /

    jump rope

    have a water fun fight

  6. Play this game:

U start out as an egg and u find another person who's also an egg. Do rock paper scissors! Whoever wins turns into a chick, and the loser has 2 keep finding someone 2 rock paper scissor with until they win! Then they can turn into a chick, or any of the stages. The stages r Egg, Chick, Eagle, and Dinosaur! Remember, u can only rock paper scissor someone who's in the same stage as u! As well, if u r any stage above an Egg and u lose in rock paper scissors, u go back down one stage! Good luck on acting out the stages and hope everything goes well with the kids! I think they'll like the game.
