What are some games to play with kidsto make them turn on skis?

I'd like some suggestions for ski instructors who are trying to get beginners to make their first turns, as well as getting people froma wedge turn to paralell

I have the kids try to catch me while on their skiis, I'll stand until they are close to me and then move up and away from them while on a gentle slope. Usually they will follow instructions on how to turn and when so they can control speed.  

  The catch if you can style works with some but not all students.

  If the student is trying to turn, you must analyze why they can't and then apply your knowledge and experience. If you are a new instructor, talk to your Technical Director  (TD)  that is their job.

   Moving a wedge level skier to parallel turns means that certain skills must be developed. All four basic skills must be mastered. B,R,E,P.   To just make a parallel turn from a wedge turner, increase speed and slope. As the speed increases most skiers do not have the leg strength to hold a wedge, hence will have their skiis run parallel.
