What are some golf games?

like best ball and worst what are some games me and my friend can play while still getting practice on the golf course?

I used to play some mini-games with a buddy, the only one I can remember right now is:

* Use only one club for an entire hole - all shots until you're putting have to be made with one designated club. Helped me get a better idea on course management, club selection, and quarter- and half-swings. For some reason, it seemed like we went with 6 irons more than any other club, but feel free to use a variety - just not when the course is packed.

We usually play a skins game. We play with 2 man teams. You will play your ball tee to cup. Your score and your partners will account for your teams score and then you will compare to your opposition.... If you tie, the nex hole doubles.

At the end of the round the team with the most holes wins. This still makes you play your own ball, however if you have a bad hole, move on, it is only worth 1 hole. If you have a bad hole your day is not ruined.

Most games are better with 3 or more players.  Games like "wolfe" and games that use a point system for payout per 9 holes.

If you are wanting to play a two man game, just use creativity.  Set up a point system for longest drive, straightest drive (fairway hit), greens in regulation, closest to the pin, one putts, longest puts...... you get the picture

Two man scrambles are fun to, especially if you can find another two people to play against.  If you can't find anyone, just set a goal (we're going to shoot 7 under)
