We are planning on a trip for June/July 2009. I have two teenage daughters, 19 and 16 and would want them to be able to have fun while I can just relax. Some places we are interested in are the Caribbean, Jamaica, and Alaska. Any recommendations?

  1. I suggest royal caribbean and carnival. They have a nice age range that would be good for the girls as well as yourself.

As far as the destination, I suggest the Caribbean. I know many who have done alaska and said it was amazing, although the age range for cruises to alaska are 50+ but it really depends on the interests of your girls.

  2. Have been on two Carnival Cruises and loved both.  Rooms are more than adequately sized, bedding yummy, free room service, great meals, entertainment and shore excursions.  Do try for an outside room with a window.  I went with my grown daughter and granddaughter and our cabin never felt crowded.  Have a blast.  Oh, we left from Tampa, FL.

  3. I would bet your two teenage daughters would love the Caribbean or Jamaica, but that time of year is hurricane season and the tropical places would be very hot, and humid. I would push them towards an Alaskan cruise. I, myself was hesitant to try an Alaskan cruise because of the cool weather, but it turned out to be my favorite cruise thus far. We did a cruise/tour where you go inland before your cruise or after your cruise. I just can't tell you enough how wonderful it was. Now if you are interested in a Princess cruise, you can go on line to Princess.com and get for free a cruise video. The best and safest cruise lines are Princess, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Carnival, and Holland America. Of course you would also be safe with cunard or crystal cruise line too, but they are at the high end of pricing. By the way, cruise ships have places for teens to hang out so you can do your own thing. That is my recommendation.

  4. check out this site, lots of your questions can be answered on their site, the prices are great also. www.vacationstogo.com i hope this helps you.

  5. princess, holland america, cunard, royal carribean cruise lines all have cruises to those places.

princess, royal carribean, and carnival have great teen programs.

i would go to cruisecritic.com for information on cruises.

i would also book thru a travel agent who specializes in cruises.

best wishes for a great cruise.

  6. Well Carnival and Royal Carribean are great ships. I've been on many cruises, and i love Carnival Cruise Lines. They are great for teenagers, and all ages. They have something for every age. Around that time is hurricane season, so the hot places like Jamaica and Caribbean would be hot and it could cause a greater chance of one. I've been to Jamaica, i went to Ocho Rios, its very nice there. And also, I've been to one that took me to the Western Caribbean, where i went to Mexico and Grand Cayman and Jamaica. I think an Alaskan Cruise on Royal Caribbean would be your best choise. No Hurricane, its bigger, Rock Climbing Wall, The Flo Rider, Which is a small surfing thing, and also a skating rink! They are more exspensive, but its worth the money. After you should try a Carnival Cruise, may i suggest Carnival Victory? Its an amazing ship, and i hope i helped. (: Thanks.
