  1. It is nice to see someone your age interested in Study Abroad. :) When I was your age, I wanted to go overseas more than anything. I started by joining the People to People student ambassador program which can be found at this website: http://www.peopletopeople.com/peopletope... I went to China for the summer when I was your age and hiked the Great Wall. It was a lot of fun, and I could have earned credit for college if I wasn't so lazy! If you're worried about money, they have ways of sponsoring you to make sure that you and your parents can cover the costs. It is also nice because instead of living with people you stay in hotels and are treated as young ambassadors (which means that you are escorted everywhere, shown the biggest national attractions, and taken out to fancy dinners to learn the culture of the country). Studying Abroad now might even help you get the chance to study abroad later. In college, I studied in Cambridge, England for a semester and had the time of my life. I wouldn't have had the courage to do a whole semester if I hadn't done the People to People program. Also, there are scholarships for students like you to attend graduate school (after college) overseas. In order to get those, you have to have a good GPA in college and experience abroad is preferred. The Mitchell and Marshall scholarships provide money for you to study in Ireland or England (at pre-approved schools). I wish you the best of luck, and hope this helps! Have fun, and come back with more questions. :)
