Someone recommended AMS Prime, but it's $217 a month and a one time set up fee of $1,450 - which seems pricey.

  1. Applied and AMS are the "big boys" in agency management software. Most larger agencies will go with one of these companies.

If you own a smaller agency you might want to consider:

    DORIS Systems www.dorissystems.com

    Agency Advantage www.agencyadvantage.com

    InsurancePro www.insuranceproonline.com

    Agency Business Systems www.agencybusys.com

    AMSoft www.amsoft.org

You need to do your homework so that you know what functions you want your agency management system to accomplish. Obviously, the pricier systems are going to have all the bells and whistles built in.

If you want to interface with your company online systems check with your major carriers to see what systems they support. If your company does not support your choice of software you may not be able to accomplish certain tasks.
