  1. I used to love the babysitters club, and the boxcar children at that age.

  2. The Diary of Anne Frank. It's about WWII and you really need to be into history to like it.

  3. I read the entire Baby Sitters Club collection when I was your daughter's age. You should speak to the children's book specialist @ Barnes and Noble, they were a HUGE help last Christmas when I was buying presents for my pre-teen cousins.

  4. Well theres a series.

    By Lisi Harrison.

The series is called: "The Clique Series"

Im 12 years old so yeah.

    I love reading them!

Ive read 2 so far and i read both in 2 days!

    lol

    i couldnt put it down!

    Hope that helps!

  5. I don't remember what the reading level at 11 is, but has she tried Mitch Albom books.  Also take her to the book store and go to the Best Sellers or tables like that and look at the Non fiction books, just have her read the backs of them.  That is how I have read some of my favorite books!

Also they are not true stories but not fairytales either:

The Secret Life of Bees- This is one of my favorites!

Wicked- Kind of a fairytale, but soo good!

  6. The library is a great place to start, just tell the librarian in the children's section this same questions and watch their eyes light up as they  find you exactly what you are looking for.

  7. I don't think the toddler section is the right place to ask about books for your 11 year old daughter.  Try the adolescent section!  :)
