What are some good New Zealand recipes and foods?

i am doing this thing about New Zealand and i need to make a New Zealand meal, including desert. what do New Zealanders eat? what are some good recipes?

maybe a fresh seafood entree, roast lamb for main and pavlova for dessert with lots of whipped cream and kiwifruit. For traditional Maori cuisine you could make a hangi, where the food is buried underground to cook with hot coals.

I am an Aussie but have Kiwi brothers and sisters. They introduced me to a HUNGEY...think thats how you spell it. Goes something like this, dig a hole in the ground, fill it with fire wood as in a bon fire and set it alight. While this is burning away wrap some potatoes, pumpkin, carrots and other vegies in alfoil. Add to this some lamb also wrapped in foil. When the fire has died down  wrap the foil in wet hessian bags, place in a rack and lay it on the coals then cover it with more wet hessian bags. This is a big version of a steamer. The food gomes out with a steamy slightly smoked flavour. Totally enjoyable but well worth the work.
