I am looking into majoring in clinical psychology and don't really know any good universities in Ca that offer it as a major. I am not rich so don't suggest Stanford or any other expensive colleges. My SAT score is average and average GPA is 3.33. Thanks in advance.

  1. UC Santa Barbara....with a 3.33 you probably will have a hard time with any other UC school except Riverside (ewww).  San Diego State University is a good one too.

  2. Stanford will not charge tuition for students whose parents earn less than 100,000 dollars, starting around 2009. So Stanford is a possibility.

    News about it at http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cg...

As for clinical, I don't think this is offered in the Bachelor level. I believe you have to go to grad school and earn a PhD or a PsyD degree. So go to any college with a possible goal of getting into Stanford's grad school later on.

  3. There is no clinical Bachelor's degree. Just look for universities with good undergraduate psychology departments. Berkeley or UCLA are well-known (even though I don't live in California). I would also recommend small liberal arts programs, where you can get more research experience with faculty members that will help you get into a clinical graduate program.
