Okay, so I have a tin of Quaker Oatmeal and I'm supposed to be eating it for well, forever =P I'm an athlete and nothing fills you up like oats cause they're slow to digest and are complex carbohydrates. But alone with milk they taste really bad. I'm going to Kroger in about an hour so I need good suggestions for toppings to eat with oatmeal. (I Don't eat maple syrup or any kind of liquids with my oatmeal so, something like dried fruit, nuts, anything solid)

  4. Bananas, bananas, bananas. They taste great with oatmeal.  Also plenty of sugar and margarine is great too.  Try it, it is tasty.

  5. Try pecans, peaches or strawberries.

  6. Have you tried brown sugar with bananas?

granola, cranraisins, dried pineapples, trail mix,it's really endless when you think about it,everyone knows you can add fruit like blueberries,strawberries,raspberries,eve... chocolate.Good luck and happy Krogering.

  7. Here are some things I put in mine:

    Sliced bananas

    Brown sugar

    Blueberries/raspberries

    Chopped Almonds or walnuts

    Raisins

    Dried cherries or cranberries

  8. tsp of Flaxseed meal, tsp of oatbran, Stevia.  (If you do chose to add liquid,  vanilla soy milk.)

For me, oatmeal is comfort food. I love a simple hot bowl of oatmeal.

  9. A touch of brown sugar sprinkled on it is good. You can also use Craisins or unsweetened, dried cranberries. Chopped, dried figs are really good also. Chopped, dried mango is another option. If you don't want the chewy dried fruit in your oatmeal, put the dried fruit in a storage dish, cover with water, put the lid on and store in your fridge overnight. In the morning drain off the water and add the reconstituted fruit to your oatmeal.

    Hope this helps.
