Many voters don't vote because they believe that one vote - their vote - just doesn't count in the grand scheme of things.

It's simple:  Make every American believe that his/her vote really counts.  I believe that the Electoral College system needs to be scrapped by Constitutional Amendment in favor of a straight, simple national popular vote.  Our present electoral system in which a candidate can lose the popular vote and still win the election is seriously broken.
