Cocktail Weiner Deluxe    

1 package of cocktail weiners (approximately 32)

Ready bake dough

Crumbled bacon bits

Swiss cheese, sliced into 1 x 2 inch strips

Unpackage and flatten the dough and slice into 3 x 3 inch squares. Place 1 cocktail weiner on a dough square, add a stip of cheese and roll it up. Sprinkle with bacon bits. Repeat with all cocktail weiners. Bake in a pre-heated 400 degree oven for approximately 10 minutes--until the dough is golden brown. Allow to cool and serve them with fancy ketchup and a chilly martini!  

Shrimp Cocktail Platter

2 lbs (or more) large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 quarts salted water

Lettuce leaves

Lemon Wedges

Cocktail Sauce

Place shrimp in boiling salted water. Cook just until pink, about 3 to 5 minutes. Drain and chill. Arrange chilled shrimp on a bed of lettuce leaves. Serve with lemon wedges and cocktail sauce.

Spicy Pecan Nibbles

3 cups pecan halves

3 tablespoons melted butter or margarine

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce, or to taste

2 teaspoons chili powvder

1 teaspoon curry powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

Heat oven to 300°.

In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, hot pepper sauce, chili powder, curry powder and salt. Add the pecans to the mixture and stir until thoroughly coated. Spread pecans onto a baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until crisp and lightly toasted.

Serve warm. (The Spicy Pecans may be reheated in the oven or microwave.) Makes 3 cups.
