  1. i think the best thing you could do is let them finger paint

  2. Think of the children-what are their interests?

    eg: (IDeas I've done)

Nursery Rhymes-Humpty Dumpty we made a display-children painted a wall-exploring texture of real bricks, made a Humpty by scrunching paper, horse from material and talked about rhyme as they did it!

Garden-flower handprints (handprints were petals), finger painted stalks, children can make bees, butterflies etc to go on the display.

Truck prints: children dipped trucks, cars (toys ones) in paint and rolled over paper-older ones made a kind of road to follow.

Junk Model: Bring in empty bottles, cereal packets, bottle tops etc adn chidlren can make models using glue andmaterials...can be anything they want--give ideas such as robot, horse etc

Make own instrument: similiar way to junk modelling-shakers 2 yoghurt pots and rick stuck together, drum-pringles tin and lid with stick (decorated) etc etc

Clay modelling-can buy air drying clay from craft shops-can use playdough tools to make shapes and patterns.

Hope there's some ideas you like here!

  3. Check Usborne Books for some great activity/art books for kids of all ages - http://www.ubah.com/g2687

  4. Three year old's can probably do a little more with the projects than twos but you can always adapt and let the end product be the art.

One thing I have found both ages like is finger painting with shaving cream and paint. Or using plastic bottles that have the shape of a flower on the bottom (20oz. Pepsi bottles) by placing them in paint and stamping onto construction paper.

  5. You could buy non toxic paint and get the kids to finger paint. They really love to do that!

  6. mabey it depends how good they listen...they can make slime or make a papper plate taco..and lastly a hand pprint picture to give to there parents
