  1. hey buddy, you have my name =)

well, my begginer package cost 300, and its still working from day 1

its ibanez. if you clean it, you will see how much it shines. the package come with an amp, cable, strap, tuner, headphones to practice in silence, a gigbag (guitarbag), and a pouch to put your future effects in.

great package, got me a lot of good memories with my band...

get it on black, on white, the pickups and bridge contrast to much with the color

add my band in myspace at:

  2. If you are sure you want to play electric guitar I would suggest a begginer package to get you started. You can find decent packages for about $200 - $300 in a music store. If you plan on getting a guitar only, I would suggest getting a versatile one with many tone options to make it easier to play new styles. In that case, I suggest you try the new Squire Deluxe Strat. It has a beautiful finish and great neck. You can find one for about $250. Good luck.

  3. an epiphone LP Junior, or a squire stratocaster, or any inexpensive Ibanez. any of these can be playable and sound good. as for looks, thats up to you whether you like them or not.

anything there should do you fine if you have it set up by a local music store  (you should buy a pakage locally if you can, you'll get a better product and better service that way)

  4. In my opinion you can't go wrong with either a Schecter or an Ibanez. If you want a whammy bar or trem go with Ibanez. Most Schecters have a string thru body which really increases sustain and tone. I have owned several Schecters and Ibanez guitars and have found even their most inexpensive models are very well put together and sound great. Hope this helps.

  5. I'm learning on a package model from Eleca. It's decent quality, doesn't cost too much, and it comes with an amp and cables, and a pitch pipe. It cost maybe $119. Don't shelve out the $3000 it will cost you to buy a good Fender model with a high-class amp if you're not going to really use it. Mine is blue and white, and I'm gonna paint it with special paints :D

Good luck going from violin to guitar - it's so incredibly difficult at first you don't know what you're getting into. It's so rewarding. I definitely recommend lessons, and using Mel Bay's guitar lesson books if you don't plan on taking lessons. I used to use tabs but it doesn't tell you how long to hold it out. Use the notes, then tabs when you're more experienced.

  6. I have a Squire Stagemaster by Fender. It's pretty easy to play. Squire Stratocasters are also good if you like that style of guitar better.
