What are some good board games for adults?

Settlers of Catan.  My whole family plays, well except Grandma, when we get together and its great fun.  Its a pretty deep strategy game, but unlike risk, its not about conquering and eliminating other players, its about trying to build your resources quicker and compete in that respect. Also the way the game is played you never have the same setup with the board pieces twice, so its got a different strategy to every game.

D&D... but you have to be really creative in order to play. it's actually a lot of fun, i joined in for a while with a family who played, mom, dad, 3 kids and a dog, lol it was fun

It depends on how much time you have. if you have ALOT of time, play monopoly or risk! if not, pictionary and scene are really good! My parents play those ones, they also love Tripoly, but that's a card game, though you should try it out! I'm only 19 but I love that game!! It's very addicting! :-)

I recommend going to www.boardgamegeek.com and read some reviews on the thousand of games they have..

Usually every person have their preferences on the game based on a specific situation...
