there are a lot others. these are some of my favorites and i am around her age so she should like them too.

  12. What about trying some classics like the Brontes or maybe Jane Austen.

  13. agree with all of the above, but if you have ever seen gossip girl, it is CLEARLY un-appropriate for a grade 7, i would never subject my sister to the drugs s*x & partying that is projected through this show & the books.

  14. Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and breaking dawn.

    by stephenie meyer.

  15. She should try the Camp Confidential series

  16. My fav. book

"The curious incident of the dog in the nighttime"

Yes a long name but I really like it!!!

    Enjoy!

  17. tell her to read enders game

    AMAZING BOOK

is a science fiction book btw

  18. The books in the Sammy Keyes series are really good.  I loved them when I was in middle school.  :)

  19. It kind of depends on her interests but I know when I was 7th grade (which was a while back I admit) I really got into Bruce Coville's books.  The My Teacher is an Alien series is really good and funny too.  He's a got several others if you want more info check out his website: http://www.brucecoville.com/

Another series she might enjoy is the Shadow Children Series by Margaret Peterson Haddix, or any of her other books actually.

Harry Potter is really good too if she hasn't read it yet.

The Penedragon series by D.J. MacHale is really good too and so is the Keys to the Kingdom series by Garth Nix.

Hope that helps, I pretty much only read ya fiction but it's been about while since I was in seventh grade  ;)

  20. If you like the twilight series then I might suggest fantasy styled books like Eragon, and such.  if you like that type of stuff I can also suggest any type of Shoji (girls mainly) manga (japanese comic). They are getting a big hit these days. you can find your local manga section at any barnes N Nobles or any other book store.

  21. Harry Potter

  22. In the fiction category I would recommend the following:

    “The uglies” (series)

    “Maximum ride” (series)

“A great and terrible beauty” (the first book of a series)

I would also recommend “The host” by the same authoress as Twilight.

As for books like the clique I would recommend:

“The wish” a teenage fiction, but less complex as the fiction books I listed above.

“Gossip girl” which I, personally didn’t enjoy, but I think that she might like it.

“The secret language of girls” is a pretty successful book, but a little sad.

My friend also tells me that “The wedding planner’s daughter” is a good book.

“Up a road slowly” I think is a very inspiring book, I loved it.

I can’t help you much in the category of books like “the clique” because I normally do not read them, but I hope it helped.

I know you didn’t ask it, but if she were interested in romance books, I would recommend the following:

    “Suzanne’s diary for Nicholas”

    “Sam’s letters to Jennifer”

I would even recommend “Peony in love”, but that depends on her age. I hope that helped.

    Sugar and spice,

    Ella

In response to Lauren R, I think that those books might be a little difficult. But if she does get into the classics, "Wemon in love," is a real sweet book =)

In responce to tawn ♥, I think that, sadly, in 7th grade children know about things like that already. And although some people might think that books about drugs ect. are inapropriate for middle-scholars, I think the book might teach them to STAY AWAY from those things, rather than be tempted to mimic them.
