What are some good books for a 9th grader?

See people are telling me about books but, I'm no racist but I'm african american and certain books interest me and no not gang books Lol just kidding but yeah like i enjoyed encyclopedia brown books but still please any choices.!!

Here's a site that lets you search classic and well respected books according to reading level, type (biography, fiction, etc.) and so on.  Here's the search for high school/adult level.  From here you can change other search categories.

The Twilight Series, Warriors By Erin Hunter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Harry Potter, U might try lord of the rings, but I like the movie better, lol.  Those are my favorite books!!  I can't think of any more right now.  ^^  Hope u like them.  Oh also Fire Horse, and Faerie Path.  The Two Princesses of Bamarre.  I have a list of my favorite books, but I don't have it with me right now.  ^^ Anywayz, I read a lot, I like the romance fairy tale type books, and those r my favorite that I can think of right now.  Hope that helps!! :D
