  1. call of the wild.by jack london.one of the best books i ever read...........anything by him is great

  2. I recall my curriculum as follows:

    Gilgamesh

    Medea

    Romeo & Juliet

    Farenheit 451

    Oedipus

    Animal Farm

-Out of these I enjoyed R&J and Oedipus to some extent

My personal taste as a 9th grader was as follows:

    Harry Potter Series

    Inheritence Trilogy (eragon)

Artemis Fowl Series-Author, (eoin colfer) is good writer

The city of Ember (interesting book, but none the less good)

The Count of Monte Cristo (very advanced plot)

Hardy Boys...more of a middle school habit

You should begin reading context that challenges you while interesting your personality at the same time. Find an author that you like, and pursue that person's text. Make sure you test out the classics like The Count of Monte Cristo, Three Musketeers, Gilligans Island, etc. Classics are called classics because they will relate to humanity forever

-good luck w/ summer reading :)

  3. Never read the series personally, but my friends back in 9th grade like Harry Potter series and Artemis Fowl series. Hope this helps.

  4. When I was in the 9th grade (1975) we were required to read "The Outsiders" and "Around the World in 80 Days."

    I highly recommend both books.

  5. Lord of the flies

    catcher in the rye

    And then there were none

    The Alchemist

  6. CanterburyTales, Romeo & Juliet, To KIl A Mockingbird

  7. Trophy Chase Trilogy

    Lord of the Rings

    Martian Child

    the Hobbit

    the Chronicles of Narnia

    ...

    Good luck!

  8. For a boy, I'm not very sure, but since I am a ninth grade girl who ABSOLUTELY loves to read, I recommend:

    Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer

Harry Potter Series by JK Rowling

    Private Series by Kate Brian

Gossip Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar

It Girl by Cecily von Ziegesar

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Series by Ann Brashares

and also any book written by Sarah Dessen. She. Is. AmAzInG.

  9. well personally i loved 'remember me?' by sophie kinsella but we all have our different opinions, you should be more specific on what types of books you prefer. :)
