Kite Runner is my personal favorite but I know a lot of people who have read twilight (I havent yet) that also love Harry Potter so if you havent read that you should give it a try.

hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy (sci-fi and incredibly funny...if you've seen the movie, it is a thousand times funnier)

I really like the sweet valley high series.

its about these twin girls, and theyre in high school and one is on the nerdy side and one is super popular.

its a really good book, ive read it twice, and i hardly ever read hahaha.
