What are some good breakfast options for school?

Hello, there! I'm a freshman and I just started going to high school yesterday. I've been eating breakfast (two pieces of toast with butter) but what I'm eating is not going to cut it. I have gym for my first class, and we're going to start working out tomorrow. I get a little hungry around lunch time (which is at 11:03) so I'm sure that when we start gym, it is going to make me hungrier. Also, I want to make sure I have the right nutrition to be able to -do- a workout in gym and still get through to lunch without a lot of trouble. Please keep these options as simple as possible. I don't want any something that takes a lot of time to make, because I don't have much time in the morning because I have to walk to school. No, I don't live relatively 'close' to the school. It's about..a 20 minute walk. Any breakfast suggestions? Thanks!

  1. Yogurt w/ granola; oatmeal and sliced fruit (made with milk); a glass of milk with your toast; hard boiled egg w/ toast (cook it the night before)

Basically what you want is something w/ protein and a bit of wheat and fruit

  2. how about adding peanut butter to your toast instead of butter? then wash it down with carnation instant breakfast. Instant breakfast has lots of protein in it and has like 220 calories per glass. You could even have your mom get the ready to drink bottles for you so you could throw the bottle away when  you get to school.

  3. Instant oatmeal is quick and satisfying.  You can use milk to make it even more substantial.  Fiber cereals are good too, like Cheerios or Mini-Wheats.  Have something like that at home and take a banana or apple and eat that on your walk to school.  Protein/nutrition bars are also a good option.  They come in so many flavors and varieties.  If you're unsure about what's the most nutritious for you, you can ask your gym teacher or your school nurse to give you recommendations.  Happy eating! :)

  4. You need protein and carbs. I would have oatmeal with nuts and raisons and a little milk. Then have plenty of fresh water to drink, and on the way to school have a slice of fresh of real cheese and a few crackers. The other fast breakfast is an egg, a slice of cheese on toast with a piece of fruit. Another great one is fresh fruit and yogurt.

  5. eggs bacon withh those litto mini pancakes

  6. breads is carbs, and that only does for a quick burst of energy because your body digests them quickly. add protein to your breakfast, like eggs, and if you do eat toast, try whole wheat instead of white (wheat takes longer to "burn") and don't forget orange juice or some form of fruit serving.

  7. try to wake up early and make a satisfying breakfast like: french toast, eggs and fry some hoto dogs just because bacon it really fatty. and a glass of orange juice.

  8. Toast won't cut it. you need more than that. Im a junior in high school and i try to have a full breakfast every morning, but i noticed that im still hungry. im already hungry by 2nd period. and im not taking PE.

anyway. You should try carbs. Waffles(very easy and fast), Pancakes, French Toast and bacon. You can try a breakfast burrito or sandwich with eggs and bacon. Hashed Browns. Also, oatmeal and cream of wheat are good too. Make sure that you get alot to eat. that will help you. oh, and try and drink OJ or milk. that will help. you can always get recipes for breakfast online.

    good luck and eat up!

ps: the waffles im talking about are eggo. if youre going for something more healthy, then you can get whole wheat. and this recipe can last for a couple of days.
