We are a young couple, staying three nights (June 25rd, 26th, 27th) and would like to be as close to central downtown area as possible. Price is important! Ideally less than 120$ per night.

  1. red roof, budget 8

  2. Indigo

    Marriott Residence

  3. The cheapest hotel in Ottawa is the Prestige (I think that is what it is called it starts with a P) and is $45/night but out in Vainer.

$120 is enough to get into a lot of places.

Rates vary but I've stayed at The Arc which is actually a boutique hotel and quite nice for under $120 once. Normally when I stay there it is more but worth calling to see what rate you get. I've paid between $110 and $180.

Econo Lodge downtown on Rideau is under $120 and centrally located.

Sheridan, Raddisson and Embassy West is under $120 sometimes and downtown.

The Capital Hill Hotel on Albert looks like it is fairly cheap and great location.

  4. Under $120 per night in the downtown area is tough. In fact even outside the core the room rates don't drop until you're about 10 km out.

Capital Hill Suites is $124 per night

It's right in the business district so the Byward Market and nightlife are a ten-minute walk away, but there is a Yuk Yuks comedy club downstairs.

About ten minutes from the Market in the other direction is the Days Inn Ottawa Downtown at $125 per night http://www.daysinn.com/DaysInn/control/B...
