Samsung is always a good and affordable brand as well as phillips, and Sony. However, sony tends to be on the higher price end. Try looking for new cameras on www.ebay.com.

Or try going to the actual stores.

hon you cant buy any better for the money than a cannon ae-1 or pentax super ! old school ! you can be in one of these w/flash for under 100.00. you will be satisfied-- bar none! dave444316

I got a Kodak Z712 a couple of months ago and it has the most features for the money. It has 7.1MP and 12X digital zoom!! It's a WONDERFUL camera. I researched and compared for weeks before buying it and I couldn't be happier with it. The pictures are flawless- from distant things to kids playing on the swings. It's on sale for $149 at Office Max this week- the 10MP version came out recently so they are moving the 7.1MP out.
