What are some good career choices?

Question

I'm almost done with high school and I need to decide on a great career quickly. What are some good careers that would be enjoyable and would be well paying?

No blue-collared jobs please :)

being a fire-fighter means you get paid less for the work you do. But it is VERY rewarding.

well if you want to go to school after high school i would say nurse (which is what i'm doing) all i have to say is 3 12 hour days man...lol  firefghter is good you would have to atleast get your emt...but EVERYONE wants that job so it could take a while.  you don't have to pick a career now, just jump into school and take some basics and if you see some classes you might want to take...take them.

if you don't want to go to school do what i do and work at a casino....you will make bank.  poker dealer black jack dealer slot key ect.....no where else will you make that kind of money for doing less work hehe

Go to a 4-year university. Do your basics first but have your major as "Undeclared". Thats what I did and after a year I found what I wanted to do. When you like something.. Declare your major.

if you into the medical field you will never be at loss for work, you can

use it anywhere, and there are always good paying positions

a firefighter means you would have to work 48 hours and then your off 24. and you have to go to paramedic and firefighter school which takes a year. so i wouldnt recommend that if you want a job right away. if you want a good paying job without going to a college or another school i would suggest becoming an x-ray technician. all they do is take x-rays and they get paid $31 an hour.

Hairdresser? you get lots of money $$$ but you get to stand all day...

it's becoming more and more popular today and you DON't have to be g*y to do it :) Not anymore :)

either that, or

open a business that washes cars, or dogs, or gives services in general. Services are good. Massage, waxing, tattoo... etc.

When you give services, you meet more people.
