What are some good charities (dealing with medical diseases) to give money to?

I want to do like a can drive or something to raise money for a charity. I was wondering what are some good charities? I'm looking for charities that support cancer research or something to do with medical stuff or maybe a charity that gives teens jobs or something.

Have you considered the Make-A-Wish Foundation?  Awesome charity that grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses.
