What are some good cheap breakfast, snacks, lunches and dinner for the kids over summer break? I have 4 kids and it is getting hard to keep up with them this summer on what they want to eat that we can afford. Any suggestions will be great!

Blueberries, strawberries, watermelon, bananas, apples, oranges. Maybe something new like kiwi, pineapple, etc. Cheese, yogurt, use your imagination.

  3. The hugs drinks (assorted flavors/24 in a box-Walmart; 48 at Sams Club), some luncheon meat (ham, turkey) come in inexpensive packs, puddings, jello, mozzarella

sticks, chicken fingers, fish sticks, pizza rolls, fries, the cookies duplex or vanilla (used to come in Big 60), the flavor ice that comes in liquid form until you freeze it (like many of us had as kids), the value pack of chips/cheetos, etc.

  4. For breakfest my kids love jelly toast and it's cheap and other times they eat waffles they can be found at the store for about a buck a box pancakes my cereal I buy in bulk.

Lunch I feed them baloney and crackers I cut up the baloney into squares put on the normal saltine boxed crackers. Some use mustard on them some don't they really love their baloney and crackers. I also make them egg sandwiches with mayo if you can get your kids to eat them. Fried baloney on white bread with mustard and any cold meat sandwiches. I trade off every week one week is ham the next turkey and so on. Big cheap can of speg os or something like that. I also buy big bags of baby carrets they like to munch on those as well as chips. But I watch what it is I don't want them eating to unhealthy.

Dinner have spag night once a week also mac and cheese and hot dogs. You could make them home made FF I buy bags of potatoes and use them well. My kids are big on home made hamburgers and ff. Grilled cheese ham and cheese. Just what ever you can come up with that is kid friendly and cheap. I have had to cut back on my store bill with price of gas and how food cost is.

We make due by having simple things now. I also buy them tonys pizzas they are cheap and the kids seem to like them. Don't forget the pbj's:)

  7. Smoothies!!!  Healthy ,Fast, Easy, and Cheap

1 banana- (can buy in bulk)

1 yogurt- (can buy in bulk )                RECIPE FOR 1 PERSON

    1/2 cup of juice

    Mix in blender and serve

  8. Well you can't go wrong with good old peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

For drinks water is cheapest and healthiest but you can also buy a big container of kool Aid mix  and make it for the kids.

For dinner try to focus on casseroles, that would be the cheapest and easiest since you wouldn't have to make a bunch of side dishes with the meal.

Jello is a good snack also and the kids will love it in the hot months.

Macaroni and cheese is a kid pleaser also.
