What are some good / cheap downtown toronto restaurants?

financial district, city hall, bloor area etc.. . im looking for a cheap, take out style place.. around 10$, maybe a little more/less.

would be great if you can tell me the location too.

  1. BBQ Express. Queen & Spadina (east of on south side. Orange sign)

I am a former chef and worked in that area, and there are a number on Queen St and along Yonge up from King right to Bloor, not alot of Mom and Pop places, mostly fast food, the usual Taco Bell, McDonalds, Harveys, there is a Popeye Fried Chix on Yonge near Dundas, thn the chinese palces on Dundas between Unversity and Bay.

    Down Queen going towards Spadina there are burger and pizza places, a nice litte West Indian place on Dundas west of Unversity right were the streetcar curve at McCaul.
