Question:

What are some good classes to take?

I plan on being a psychologist but I'm not exactly sure what classes to take. I'm pretty sure I'll be in some that have to do with family and personal relations as well as dealing with kids. Will these help? I did some reading and searching and found that chemistry, math, and english are helpful. Is that true? And what else should I take?

I'm just now going to be a freshman, so I have a while to take different things but I'm trying to start as soon as I can to get a good education.

Thanks :]

  1. Sweety, you do not need chemistry depending on your college. Math (most likely algebra), biology and English of course you need as a prerequisite. Good courses to take as well is abnormal psychology, industrial psychology (only because many people have no idea what it is) and of course family and child psychology. Just take as many psychology courses as you can.

  2. Just contact the admission office of any college, they will be happy to provide you with the information you are looking for. Have fun in your studies.  Psychology is really a fascinating subject.
