What are some good decorating ideas for a graduation party?

So I need some ideas on how I can decorate my yard and my house for my graduation party. I've already thought of enlarging pictures and displaying them around the house and have a wall covered in paper so that people can sign it. But I need more ideas for decorating outside because that is where everyone will be. The colors are going to be red and white and we are having a BBQ. Send out any ideas that you have, or websites that have good ideas, I need as much as you can offer! Thank you!!!!

  1. Look for sufficient shelter in case the weather changes. Erect a tent or a temporary overhang to foil unexpected showers. To provide shade on a hot, sunny day, set up colorful market umbrellas. And if darkness will fall during the course of the party, you'll need lights. Candles, hurricane lamps, or tiki torches all fit the bill smartly.

    Here are some ideas:

        * A child's beach pail is a playful yet functional holder for utensils.

        * Create unusual place "cards" by writing guests' names on smooth stones or large leaves.

        * Light citronella candles to help keep pests away. Place the candles in pretty holders such as sea shells or clay pots.

        * Create a playful centerpiece with useful items such as sunscreen, disposable cameras, children's flippers, and games -- all stuffed into a giant straw summer hat.

        * Fill a children's wading pool with ice to chill soft drinks.

        * Send party favors home with guests by passing out inexpensive toys and sunglasses shaped like stars.

  2. Well it sounds like you LOVE memories... put a disposable camera on each table with a tag that that say something about feel free to take a pics.. then you wont even have to worry about not haveing enough pics... thats what i did it was a big hit *

*Get Sprite and color it the theam colors...

    * roll up  pieces of paper with red ribbon ( looks like a diploma) and hang them or set them around..

    * A slide show of like you since a baby to now

    * Bake cookies and color them red and white

    * If invited to the party have your guest wear Red and White

    I hope these ideas help!

  3. EVERYTHING! Make sure your table cloths are red/white, plates, silverware (if using plastic, get red and white). Instead of a piece of paper, consider getting a big white picture frame mat and having people sign it in red pen so you can have something that will keep a little better than a giant piece of paper.... You could use an arch my the entrance and cover it with red flowers, or cheaper yet, red and white balloons...make the desserts red and white...sugar cookies decorated in the shapes of diplomas, grad. hats, or just round, with red/white icing, or the grad date or year on it, or have a big cake (wedding style but smaller) in red/white....you can put helium in bunches of balloons and put a weight on them so they wont go anywhere...hang them around the tables. Make centerpieces with either flowers, photos, garland, confetti, etc, in themed colors, etc. Get a big beverage tub in red, or have a specialty drink that is red....fruit punch mix, Code Red Mountain Dew, even red cool-aid....have fun!
