What are some good decorating ideas for teens?

Does anyone have any decorating ideas for a teen girl. I'm re-doing my room. If you have any sites thats awesome. My idea is to paint the walls light pink, I have a white duvet and I want to put a whole bunch of green and pink pillows on it. I have a white dresser. I have teal green and pink curtains. I just really need decorations to finish it.

well on a teenage girl color an make a big impact. some paint colors that set moods r

~plum/purple/pink: for a creative mood (if ur like a writer/painter/etc.)

~blue: for a realxed mood

~green: for a more entergetic or happy mood.

if u hav a small space then choose a lighter color because the darker the room the smaller it apears to be.

i dont relly like rooms that hav themes because everything u add has to be part of th theme... duh. so choose a color that can accesorize w/ differtn colors.

dont hav to much accesories. accesories r only for accenting specific colors.

~my room BTW is painted a light blue and the bed spraed is a cream w/ bk and the pillows are a cream w/ a bk embrordery.

Such a cool decorating theme at the moment is white walls and a white wooden bed and floor but with green rugs and an orange floral print duvet with loads of bold cushions and bright photo frames in red, yellow green and orange to decorate the room. It's really light and fresh and outdoorsy.

i have to say, that the best way to find furniture and stuff is going to ikea (or some other store) and looking. but not buying anything yet, get the catalouge or go on ikea.com and look at stuff you like. then go to some different stores look around... until you are sure you picked something you like...

I really like the idea of using pillows to decorate right now...There are so many options out there and it saves you precious wall space (even though it sounds like you have enough).  Check out VisionBedding for some cool pillow ideas, and if you want you can even create your own.  They are soft and would add texture to your bed area.

Also depending on what kind of flooring you have you may want to put a rug on it, this will also bring the eye down to the floor and give it some visual interest.  Another great idea is to bring in some hanging pendant lights (target or ikea).  As for the walls, adding shelves (home depot or lowes) that you paint different colors will also have a functional purpose.  Think about YOUR needs when decorating.

Do you need a white board or cork board to display photos and messages, or what about storage or bookshelf...Maybe you won't need them today or tomorrow, but if you aren't going to be redecorating for awhile make sure you plan a little ways into the future!
