What are some good dryland practices that will help my Swimming?

I want to be a really goo swimmer but i cant go to the pool everyday, what exercises or drills can i do outside the water that will still help me be a better swimmer?

  1. Well i do these before i swim but medicine balls are perfect. Standing chess passes and over the head throws are excellent. Using a 4-5 pound ball of course. But there are the wheels that you can purchase where you hold on to two handles, and while on your knees roll yourself out as far as possible and roll back inwards. This kills you abs at first but after using it day after day your abs become rock hard. This is perfect for swimming.
