What are some good exercises (I've got arthritis) you can do in the pool to shape up your thighs/legs?

My joints hurt and I'd like to tone up; I heard that swimming is great for that. What are some good exercises that will tone my thighs and legs? Oh, and butt too....;-)

  1. when i was in my water class about a year ago we had some water weights. we did kicks and "ski legs" where you move your legs like you are trying to ski as fast as possible.  I definitely got firm.  as for your butt try some backwards kicks one leg at a time with the water weights. Believe me, you'll feel it.


  2. you can try holding onto the side of the pool and kicking your legs like your swimming that helps

  3. can u swim? that is a really good workout, and it deffenetly tones u your legs, and back
