What are some good first cars to buy?

Well it all depends on the kind of car you want. Since gas is very expensive, if you dont care about performance, a GREAT used car i would highly recommend is a Chevy Cavelier. The gas mileage is UNBELIEVABLE. On the other hand if you talking about new cars. A GREAT cheap car  that gets good gas mileage and is a best buy in my book is a Honda Fit. If you care more towards the performance of a car i would say a good reliable used car is a Toyota MR2. They look great are fast and fun to drive. Although hard to find. A good new performance car in my book would be a mustang or the new Camaro. Because they are not to expensive and Very Powerful. Especially the new camaro packing over 400 hp in the SS model. and over 300 in the V6 model. For a first car i am more towards getting a first car because of the higher risk of crashing, insurance, and because you shouldnt put an inexperienced driver in the seat of a 40k dollar car. If considering a used car, the amount of miles on it can be everything. My first car is a 1996 Pontiac Firebird. fast and fun but truthfully its a GM pos when is comes to the build quality. I havent had many problems though.

if you like od muscles cars then an old mustang would be perfect for you but my first car was a 1987 celica gt-s and it was perfect for a first car, my second car was a 1997 honda prelude and that was my favorite car ..I know have a mercedes but to be honest, i really miss that prelude, it honestly drove so nicely and it's so stylish without having to do anything to it ..just save for some rims and you are set!!
