Question:

What are some good foods to eat before running?

like before a soccer game????

or before track practice or soccer practice

that will prevent cramps?

or just helpfull??

  1. If you get cramps, eat something thats not harsh on your stomach.  When I run long distances (15+Kms) I eat whole grain toast with Peanut butter and sliced bananas, its loaded with potassium and carbs which is what you need for lasting endurance.  When I go out to run, I bring Eload and some gels and have it 45 minutes into the run, to keep going.  (I usually wait at least an hour after I eat breakfast before I go for a run)

    Oatmeal is also good to have . (You can have Quakers instant oatmeal with 25%less sugar-its a better choice)

    Vector cereal, Cream of Wheat is also good.
