  1. You can check out the Farmer's Almanac for a list of plants and planting dates specifically for your area:

  2. Wish I knew what type of garden spot you had...........but bush beans.....lettuce.....onions...radishes.... or red.....carrots..beets(I love them) blood for the liver:) If you have a big space.....cumcumbers ,corn ,tomatoes, peppers, cabbage, wow this is fun.........and of course a couple of pumpkin plants..bye

  3. without knowing your exact zone, it is impossible to tell you what to plant right now.  visit your local nursery for advice.

  4. Turnips should be planted on the 22nd of July, wet or dry.  Also, you can get several plantings of green beans in over the summer, so you could still plant those.  Also, you can do a fall planting of cabbage right about now.

  5. Lettuces/salad greens, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, radishes, carrots. Anything that has cold hardiness. I believe your first frost date is the same as ours here in MI. If so, it's end of September.

You can extend your season further with a cold frame. Here's an article if you're interested in building your own:

  6. I would say corn, cucumbers, and string beans. They just grow better those times in new york! Hope that helps!

  7. Okra, corn, cummbers
