What are some good fundraising ideas for a youth club?

It's a Junior Civitan club and we're just starting out. I need ideas to raise some money, hopefully something to do with Mother's Day/Father's Day.

There's about 12 of us right now, and there's about 3 feet of snow on the ground, so taking that into consideration, what would you suggest?

Talk to your local florist and see how much it would cost for roses for a fund raiser. Get the word out in school that your club is selling roses for Mothers Day. Say a single rose will cost the club $2.00 each, sell them for $5.50 each. Make sure the people prepay first. Then you will have a $3.50 profit per flower. Don't sound like much but get enough kids to buy and you will be surprised on how much you make.

But you can sell all kinds of flowers not just roses.
