  1. Duck, Duck Goose!

As pathetic as that sounds, it's a ton of fun. Depending on the level (We'll say they can tread water some what), circle them up in somewhere where it's deep, but not too deep unless they are good swimmers. Have some one be the ducker and swim around the circle until they pick their goose. The ducker gets 2-3 seconds lead before the goose sprints after them. If the ducker is tagged, he goes into the "mush pot" and has to tread water. If the ducker makes it to the goose's spot, the goose is it.

It is a ton of fun! My high school swim team played this in the diving well before our divisionals meet (It was like, 2 practices before) and it went over well.

Others include the world renowned Marco Polo, the Color Game (This can help work on dives and stream line), diving for weighted sticks/rings, fun relays (cork s***w, doggy paddle, etc.). There is a ton of stuff you can do! Good luck~

  2. marco polo, tag,

  3. some of my favorites are:

stream line jumps- who can jump the highest in the stream line position

sharks and minoes- use your swimming skills to get across the pool without getting tagged

kickboard relay-  see who can get to the other side the fastest

regular relay- swim across to see who can get there first

doggie paddle relay- doggie paddle the length of the pool and everyone has to bark while swimming

t shirt relay- swim across with a shirt on but then get out and pass the shirt to the next relay member

  4. relays: dolphin dives, doggie paddle, spiderman, etc.

phone book game: pick someone in a group to name a common place ex: Red Lobster. Look up the number in a phone book. Say the number was 456-8879. 8879 would be their IM number of laps to do. 8: butterfly, :back, 7:breast 9: free

underwater swimming: Have them swim with or without fins and see how far each kid can go!

  5. relay races must kids like them other wise ask them wat they would like

  6. Touch and feel!
