I'm a 6 HCP. I am comfortable with courses 6600 to 6900 yards. I know about Gaylord Springs. Trying to plan a three day trip. Thanks!

  1. Champions Run about 40 minutes south of Nashville.

  2. Gaylord Springs is really not all it's cracked up to be.  I'd call and set a tee time for Vanderbilt's Legend's Course in Franklin (just south of Nashville).  It's a challenging course that is lots of fun.  Also, look at Old Fort Golf Course in Murfreesboro (just southeast of Nashville - 30 minute drive).  It is well worth the drive to get there.  My inlaws live in the Boro, which is about 30 minutes away from where my wife and I live.  I enjoy that course quite alot.

  3. The Hermitage is a good test, and a lot of the private clubs will let you on if you set it up in advance with a good polite phone call- there is also a TN version of the RTJ Trail, and I believe they have a course in the area.
